“When you die, you expect to remain Dead and Buried [2].”

Morticians have this really odd tendency of being necromancers on the side. That’s the case in Dead and Buried. This film was written by Allen Stern, directed by Gary Sherman and takes place in a sleepy, New England town (possibly one of the most dangerous settings on Earth).

A series of gruesome murders spurs an investigation from local Sheriff, Dan Gillis. The mystery evolves as more and more people start turning up dead.

Helping the Sheriff is the local coroner, Dobbs.

It doesn’t take too long to figure out what happens next, but I will say that this particular film has a twist in it that we haven’t seen before.

Lesson? If you live in a small town and there is a series of unexplained murders, don’t trust the person who handles the dead bodies.
