Oh how I love films about neurosis. This movie follows the story of a young woman plagued by her mother’s fears of just about everything. Clad in knee-pads, gloves, a helmet stuffed with sponges and with the sort of manic, rambling line delivery that makes you chuckle even when nothing particularly funny is happening, the main character pulls off her role beautifully.
The writing had some awkward moments and it was a little hard to tell whether they were put in deliberately or not but otherwise this is great look at phobias, obsessions and learning to “get over it.”
Plagued by the rules and warnings of her obsessive mother, a young woman leads a life in fear of virtually everything surrounding her.
