Lara Kobrin began her acting journey at a very early age playing Goldilocks in a preschool production of “Goldilocks and the Three Bears.” Lara was raised in a small town, but luckily the arts community was thriving! Lara spent much of her childhood and formative years on stage in local community theater productions. In the mid-90′s, Lara helped her performance-oriented family establish the Waterfront Players Repertory Company, based on the south coast of Oregon, a theater company dedicated to the cultural enrichment of the community.
While continuing to enjoy live theater, Lara also discovered an equal love for film work in the early ’00′s after moving to Portland, Oregon. Since then, Lara has continued to work steadily with various independent production companies in the Northwest. In 2004, she landed her first starring role in the Portland-based film Damaged Goods, written and directed by David Walker.
In addition to film and stage, Lara is also active in commercial work.
Lara has most recently been seen on stage in A Country Doctor with defunkt theatre.
Lara also co-produces and co-stars in the new web-series Wage Slaves created by Chris A. Bolton (Fade to Black Films, LLC). Wage Slaves premiered online July 21, 2009 @ www.wageslaveseries.com. Season Two will be online in March 2010!
