Bottom Line: Before you get too excited, you wont see anything steamier here than you would on late night cable. That being the case Blue Movies is an entertaining look at what everyone wishes it looked like behind the scenes at a adult film shop.
A comedy web series about a rising pornography company in the San Fernando Valley fighting for #1. Starring Sascha Alexander, Beck Bennett, and Jareb Dauplaise.
The trailers for Max Chapman’s other films border on brilliant. I have never seen more entertaining post-episode content in a web series. (Style 5)
You have got to love a script that manages to transform dozens of beloved films into porn without falling face first into campiness. Blue Movies is a comedy that is just serious enough to sell the smut while still driving an office romance story. (Storytelling 4)
The general disclaimer applies on this one, if you are particularly sensitive about shows involving lots and lots of implied sex, then you will probably not appreciate this one. That being the case, Blue Movies rings in at PG-13 on its worst days so I would watch an episode or two before casting judgment. The truth is that Blue Movies is a funny, tightly written and surprisingly sentimental web series. (Watchability 3.5)
